My premiums have skyrocketed even after going to a less costly plan; the deductibles have risen even though I never wished to change them & I almost never go to the doctor or use the insurance. I love the way they raise us each year & then of course more on certain anniversary dates. This year because I turned 55, my rate went up $45/month. That's just totally insane. I have seen my personal premium and deductible of $2300 in 2000 ($1800 plus $500 deductible) rise this year to $6300 ($4800 plus $1500 deductible)!!! I'm under 50 and have NO pre-existing condition or health problems, but am very close to becoming a statistic, another with NO healthcare insurance.
